Recently, our company has completed the full process quality inspection, surface protection, and export packaging of a batch of 50KG Grade 9 titanium alloy wire. It has been officially arranged to be shipped to the Netherlands and delivered to a local hydraulic equipment manufacturing enterprise for welding production of aviation hydraulic pipelines. This batch of Gr9 titanium alloy wire, corresponding to TA18 in China, is produced according to ASTM B863 standard, with an order specification diameter of 1.2mm and delivered in coils. Before leaving the factory, the product undergoes a random inspection of its appearance, wire diameter, and mechanical properties to ensure that there are no defects such as scratches, peeling, or broken wires. A complete set of material testing certificates are attached to the goods to meet the material traceability audit requirements of EU customers.
This Dutch client specializes in the manufacturing of fluid hydraulic system components, and the project pipelines need to repeatedly withstand alternating pressure, with high requirements for welding wire toughness and fatigue resistance. The customer compared Gr2 pure titanium wire with Gr5 titanium alloy wire in the early stage, and found that pure titanium had insufficient strength and Gr5 cold forming was difficult. After comprehensive evaluation, Grade 9 titanium alloy wire was selected. This 50kg order belongs to the batch trial production of materials for the project. After the trial production verification is passed, long-term stable procurement will be added in the future. The production difficulty of Gr9 wire is not small. The production team repeatedly adjusts the drawing tension and vacuum annealing parameters, and isolates and protects the entire winding process to prevent surface scratches on the wire.
As a source titanium material manufacturer, we have a stock of Grade 9 titanium alloy wire in stock, with diameters ranging from 0.08mm to 6.0mm. We can customize wire diameter, acid washed/glossy surface, disc weight, and length according to needs. We can also arrange small batch sample orders without setting a high minimum order threshold. Export orders will be wrapped in layers of rust proof paper and moisture-proof film, with dedicated plastic wire spools to secure the wires and prevent collision and oxidation during sea transportation.
