Recently, a batch of Grade 9 Titanium Strip products from our company completed full process quality inspection, surface treatment, and vacuum export packaging, and were officially shipped to our American customers. The total weight of the order is 25KG. This batch of products is used as the material for the customer's project samples and is strictly produced according to ASTM B265 standard. The grade is Grade 9 (TA18, Ti-3Al-2.5V), which is used for precision instrument sealing and pipeline coating testing projects for American customers. It is also the first cooperation order between the two parties in the field of titanium alloy precision strip products.
At the beginning of receiving the request, the customer had high requirements for narrow strip tolerance, surface cleanliness, and batch stability. At the same time, they needed to provide material certification, mechanical and chemical composition testing reports that met the local project audit requirements in the United States. Considering that it is a preliminary sample order and the customer's required specifications do not belong to the conventional spot size, our technical team immediately checked the drawings, evaluated the rolling, slitting, and leveling processes, confirmed the process plan, and prioritized production to shorten the sample delivery cycle. During the production phase, the focus is on controlling the shape of the board. After slitting, deburring and leveling processes are added to avoid common warping and edge scratches in thin strips. The surface of the finished product is treated with acid wash to meet the needs of subsequent bending and welding processing.
In the quality inspection process, we visually and by measuring test weight (thickness and width) in batch, composition and mechanical indicator test, there is no peeling, scratches or oxidation. The package is wrapped in titanium special moisture-proof vacuum film and reinforced wooden pallets for sea shipping to protect against moisture, oxidation, collision and deformation during its journey across the ocean. At the same time, a complete set of export documents is organized to match the US import customs clearance regulations, making it convenient for customers to quickly clear customs and conduct tests.
In recent years, the demand for Grade 9 titanium strips in the high-end equipment market in the United States has steadily increased, and many lightweight, corrosion-resistant precision components are gradually replacing stainless steel and Grade 5 titanium materials. This type of sample order is often the starting point for long-term stable cooperation, and customers will evaluate the bulk procurement plan based on the sample results. As the source manufacturer, we have a regular stock of Gr9 titanium strip mother coil blanks, which can undertake small batch sample customization and support subsequent large-scale continuous supply. We can flexibly adjust the slitting width, surface condition, and cutting length.
The successful shipment of the 25KG sample order represents the recognition of our customized precision titanium strip products by overseas customers.
