The dimensional parameters of titanium-coated wire are precisely tailored to meet the processing requirements of multiple scenarios.The normal diameter is from 0.02mm to 5.0mm, with ultra fine specification 0.01mm (for miniature electronic components) and coarse specification 8.0mm (for industrial precision parts). The diameter tolerance is precisely controlled within ±0.001mm (for ultra-fine specifications) to ±0.02mm (for medium to coarse specifications) for ensuring automated assembly and uniform coating. Surface treatment provides a wide range of possibilities such as Ni surface electroplating, gold plating, platinum plating and rhodium plating and the thickness can be customized for 0.1μm-5μm according to different requirement of conductivity and wear resistance. Vaccine is vacuum sealed (prevents coating from oxidizing), are available in straight bars (500mm/1000mm) and reel (5kg/10kg per reel). This series in its entirety is conform to the EU REACH, U.S. FDA (medical-grade), and China RoHS certification requirement. Coupled with Ni coatings, it provides a combination of corrosion resistance and cost efficiency suitable for use in a variety of industrial applications, such as electronic connectors, precision springs.

 

The designation of titanium-coated wire is primarily based on the substrate material, combined with coating layers to form functional combinations. The mainstream substrate grades include GR1, GR2, and GR5. GR1 pure titanium substrate coated with titanium has a titanium purity of ≥99.5% and extremely low impurity content. When paired with gold/platinum coatings, it offers both biocompatibility and electrical conductivity, making it suitable for medical implant devices (such as cardiac pacemaker electrode wires) and high-end sensors. GR2 pure titanium substrate has slightly higher strength.Coupled with Ni coatings, it provides a combination of corrosion resistance and cost efficiency suitable for use in a variety of industrial applications, such as electronic connectors, precision springs.GR5 titanium alloy substrate boasts excellent strength. When paired with rhodium coatings, it exhibits wear resistance and fatigue resistance, making it suitable for aerospace miniature structural components and high-frequency electronic device conductors.

 

The core advantage of titanium-coated wire stems from the synergistic effect of "titanium substrate + functional coating."The surface hardening of the shell can be improved 3-5 times, it is more wear resistance than pure titanium wire, the damage caused by the high frequency of insertion, drawing and friction is greatly reduced. Gold/silver plating improves conductivity and minimizes loss of signal transmission, lending themselves for use in precision electronics and medical sensing applications. The coating has good adhesion to titanium substrate which can maintain intact after multiple bending and stretching, and it can produce a dual layer corrosion resistance protection, letting the service life be extended 2–3 times in body fluid and acidic/alkaline solution.Medical-grade coatings are non-allergenic and free from ion leaching, combining with the titanium substrate's biocompatibility to create additive advantages, fully meeting the safety requirements for implantable devices.
